Camerata Pro Musica

The Camerata Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra was formed from the musicians of the Savaria Symphony Orchestra in Szombathely, in 1995, with the leadership of the concert master, Tibor Gyenge. The aim of the orchestra, which is independent from the Symphony Orchestra, is to popularize the string chamber music, but this variegation is however a high standard introduction of a more intimate genre. According to the notion of Tibor Gyenge, the discussion and the solution of the different technical difficulties, the various ideas, the interpretation problems are also important as to form the unified toned sounding. They play on modern built musical instruments and they intend to perform the arisen sounding possibilities with analysed playing method.

The Orchestra gave more than 300 concerts, sounded 120 different compositions with the participation of more than 50 soloists and guest concert masters in the last 15 years.

 They gave concerts in significant concert halls (Concert Hall-Vienna, National Concert Hall-Dublin, City Concert Hall- Cork, Esterházy Castle- Fertőd, The Marble Hall of the Hungarian Radio- Budapest). Their widespread repertoire covers every determining musical period from the baroque music to the contemporary music. They contributed in chamber opera performances (Pleyel: Die Fee Urgele, Donizetti: Love-potion, Haydn: The apothecary). The prime-performances of the contemporary composers’ (Máté Hollós, György Arányi-Aschner, Karl Messner, Pál Károlyi, János Petró) compositions are attached to the orchestra’s name. Their concerts were broadcasted by Radio Bartók and ORF. Their cds were presented by Hungaroton, Ars Produktion Germany, Jada Records and Sto CD.

Remarkable concert masters, song artists, soloists of musical instruments participated in their concerts, but the orchestra assured debut possibilities for the musician colleagues and young talents.

Besides the abroad and nationwide tours, the orchestra appears regularly in the music life of the towns in Vas County. They got invitations to several thematic kind music or local events and youth concerts.Camerata Pro Musica
